Molynes United avenged their first round loss to Waterhouse FC, beating them 2-1 as the return round of the Jamaica Premier League kicked off on Sunday.

Waterhouse FC had won the first round game 2-1 while Faulkland FC held leader Mt Pleasant after losing their first round game while Montego Bay United and Portmore drew 1-1 again and Arnett Gardens repeated their 2-1 win over Cavalier FC.

Jason Wright scored the winner for Molynes United in the 71 st minute to unlock a 1-1 tie in their game played at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex as Molynes won for the first time in six games, snapping Waterhouse’s three games unbeaten run.

Jermy Nelson converted a penalty in the 27 th minute to give Molynes United the lead but Shaquiel Bradford equalised for Waterhouse in the 42 nd minute.

Fresh from their first win of the season, Faulkland FC held the leaders to a 0-0 draw where both teams created good scoring chances but failed to convert.

Despite dropping two points, Mt Pleasant FA still leads with 31 points, followed by Arnett Gardens who moved into second place, jumping over Cavalier who they beat 2-1, in a repeat of the first game when Cavalier also ended the game with 10 players.

Jaheim Thomas and Fabian Reid scored in the first half for Arnett Gardens as they led 2-0 at half time.

Cavalier were reduced to 10 men in time added on when he was sent off for a foul but there was still time for Shaniel Thomas to pull one back for Cavalier, late in stoppage time.

Harbour View took over fourth place on 22 points after edging Chapleton 1-0 at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex, after winning their first round game 2-0.

Trey Bennett scored the game’s only goal in the 15 th minute.

At Wespow Park, Montego Bay United came from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw against Portmore United, a repeat of their first round meeting at Drax Hall.

Alex Marshall gave Portmore the lead in the 23 rd minute with a curling left footer but Johann Weatherly grabbed a point for the home team when he capped off an outstanding performance when he scored directly from a corner in the 49 th minute.
