The ISSA Schoolboy Football 2023 tournament kicks off on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at the National Stadium.
Ten-time DaCosta Cup champions Clarendon College will seek to continue their dominance in the rural area competition as they open their season against Zone H rivals Lennon High.
Meanwhile, Zone B will also be in action on the opening day with eleven-time champion Rusea’s High traveling away to Cambridge High and Frome Technical hosting Merlene Ottey High, All games kick off at 3:30 PM.
This season’s competition will see the return of six teams to the competition, Zone C will see the return of Aabuthnott Gallimore High and Ferncourt High. They will also welcome newcomers Discovery Bay High.
Knockalva Technical returns to Zone D and Roger Clarke High will join Zone E. Iona High retakes its place in Zone I and Porus High in Zone L respectively.
The new additions bring the DaCosta Cup participation tally to 81 teams and 162 first-round games to be played as they all aim to dethrone the champions and earn the right to be named DaCosta Cup 2023 champion.
