Champions Clarendon College, former winners Glenmuir High and Manchester High are into the second round of the ISSA/Wata DaCosta Cup football competition after contrasting results in Tuesday’s round of games.
Clarendon College and Manchester High remained perfect in the first round with wins over Thompson Town and Mt St Joseph Catholic respectively.
The Clarendon College game was postponed after being rained out last week but the champions picked up where they left off, leading 1-0 to run out easy 5-0 winners with Kaheim Dixon scoring a hat trick and Christopher Hull got a brace. They moved to 18 points and can only be passed by Edwin Allen.
Manchester High won 3-0, their eighth straight which took them to 24 points and confirmed their place in the second round as Belair High stayed in second place with a 6-0 win over May Day High with Ajwani Wauchope and Christian Henry both scoring doubles.
