St Elizabeth Technical High and Cornwall College are set to clash in the quarter-finals of the ISSA Ben Francis KO after Wednesday’s first round of the competition was completed.

Frome Technical High, the 2006 winners as well as Happy Grove High and McGrath high also advanced to the second round.

STETHS edged William Knibb Memorial 1-0 thanks to a first half header from Abeena Wallace and will face Cornwall College who they had beaten 3-2 in a DaCosta Cup Round of 16 game played in Montego Bay.

Frome Tech who were led by a hat trick from Kemar Beckford in their come from behind 4-1 win over first timers Tacky High at Llandilo Sports Complex, will face BB Coke High who just failed to get to the semi-finals.

Tacky High led Frome from the first minute but conceded an own goal as the Westmoreland school drew level.

Beckford then scored his hat trick to give his team the win.

Happy Grove High who beat Mile Gully High 2-0 at CASE, are down to take on Christiana High in the next round.

Shevone Miller bagged a brace for Happy Grove, scoring in the 47th and 90th minutes as they advanced in the competition for the first time.

McGrath High setup a match up against Manchester High after beating Port Antonio High 4-3 on penalty kicks after they played out a 0-0 draw at the Ewarton Sports Complex.
