Ocho Rios High surprised William Knibb High, edging them 1-0 in Martha Brae in their ISSA/Wata Zone C game on Wednesday, as the Trelawny team has lost two games in the first round for the first time since the 2018 season.

Kaniel Brown came off the bench to score the winner in the 87th minute, moments after a William Knibb goal was ruled out for offside.

William Knibb’s two losses equal the number of games they have lost in the first round over the last three seasons.

Meanwhile, York Castle are in second place after beating Ferncourt High 3-0, a goal difference over Browns Town, who beat Aabuthnott Gallimore High 2-0.

Lacovia High got their first win of the season in style with a 10-2 win over Roger Clarke High in Zone E, where Munro College is in third place after their 2-0 win over Sydney Pagon High.

Horace Clarke High blanked Carron Hall High 8-0 to pull to within two points of the lead in Zone I.

Petersfield High are the leaders in Zone D after beating Knockalva Technical 3-0; meanwhile, they were were first wins for Mt. St. Joseph Catholic, who beat May Day High 1-0, and Thompson Town High edged Lennon High 2-1.

Foga Road High also broke the ‘ducks’ with a 2-0 win over Tacius Golding, while Fair Prospect and Port Antonio High drew 1-1.
