Goals were hard to come by in Wednesday’s round of matches in the Jamaica Premier League, with only former champions Cavalier FC managing to score more than one goal in their game.

Cavalier FC spanked hapless Faulkland FC 4-0 at Wespow Park, as the promoted team have allowed 10 of their 18 goals in their last two games.

The other six JPL games combined for five goals, with two games ending in 0-0 draws.

Cavalier FC’s win took them to third place in the points tables with 12 points, two behind joint leaders Harbour View and Mt Pleasant FA, both on 14 points.

At Wespow Park, Dwayne Atkinson scored in the 12th minute and Ronaldo Webster scored in the 32nd minute as Cavalier FC led 2-0 at halftime. Collin Anderson added a third in the 72nd minute, and Orlando Russell scored the fourth goal four minutes into added time.

Defending champions Harbour View had their two-game winning streak come to an end as they had to come from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Tivoli Gardens.

Tommy Lawrence gave Tivoli the lead in the 31st minute, but Timar Lewis grabbed an equalizer in added time at the end of the first half.

Mt. Pleasant edged Waterhouse 1-0 at Drax Hall, with Tivante Stewart scoring the winning goal in the 73rd minute.

Humble Lion won back-to-back 1-0 games and moved into the top six in the table thanks to Andrew Vanzie’s 52nd-minute goal.

Chapelton Maroons won their second game of the season, edging Molynes United 1-0 with Jamari Howell scoring in the 78th minute as the games between Montego Bay United and Vere United and Portmore United against Dunbeholden both ended in 0-0 draws.
