Former champions, Clarendon College could book their Ben Francis spot today when they play against Thompson Town in their Zone H clash.

The Chapleton based-school remains one of few teams yet to be defeated and lead Zone H with 15 points.  A win over Thompson Town this afternoon would see them moving to 18 points and an automatic qualifying spot in the Inter-Zone round and a Ben Francis Cup berth.

“Like everyone else in the DaCosta Cup, we are in this competition to win it,” said Coach Jackie Walters.

“We have a good set of players and they are very confident of their abilities so, yes, we are hoping to go all the way.”

However Thompson Town is currently second in the zone on seven points after a controversial loss against Lennon High last Saturday; the game ended 2-1 in favor of Lennon but the final result is yet to decide.

The other game in the zone will be Edwin Allen vs Claude McKay while Lennon will rest.
