The first two semi-finalists in the ISSA/Wata DaCosta Cup football competition was decided on Saturday after holders Clarendon College and Glenmuir High won back-to-back quarterfinal games, beating Manchester High and Christiana High respectively.

Following up on their wins in Wednesday’s first set of games, Clarendon College were 4-0 winners over Manchester High and Glenmuir edged Christiana High 1-0 as both raced to six points each at the top of Group A.

Dinthill Technical meanwhile took charge of Group B handing Garvey Maceo High their first loss of the season, getting past them 3-0 at Ewarton Sports Complex as they also moved to six points.

BB Coke meanwhile threw the group wide open as they rebounded from their loss on Wednesday to hand Cornwall College back-to-back losses with a 2-1 win at Jarrett Park.

Kaheim Dixon scored a double to lead Clarendon College to a second 4-0 win after had beaten Christiana High by the same margin on Wednesday. Malachi Douglas and Deandre Gallimore also scored for Clarendon College.

Orane Watson scored for Glenmuir High, on his birthday as they returned to the semi-finals for the first time since the 2014 season.

Tyrese Gowe scored a double for Dinthill Technical and Shemar Hutchinson got the other as the two-time champions took a firm grip on the group with their win.

Jahmaul Wright also bagged a brace to lead BB Coke High to their first win over the former champions, scoring in the sixth minute with a powerful, well placed free kick into the far-left corner from just on the edge of the 18 yards box and doubled the advantage in the 13th minute when he deflected a corner into the far right corner.

Cornwall College stormed back in the second half and pulled a goal back in the 66th minute when second half substitute Rackeem Grizzle headed a corner past goalkeeper Daniel Walters.
