The JFF SportsMax Elite Cup kicked off Saturday March 18, 2017 in style with a haul of 20 goals shared among the respective teams.

Clarendon Galaxy edged Trelawny Barons 3-2 in what was a cracking encounter at Wespow Park, St James. Galaxy took the lead through Kwesi Watts in the 17th minute as Clarendon took control of the encounter but the Trelawny Barons leveled the game 20 minutes later through a Kemar Newman strike in the 37th minute, seven minutes later he then gave the Barons the lead which they took into the interval. It was a second half of total domination as Clarendon equalized just five minutes into the second half through Clarendon College starman Creggton Charlton in the 50th minute then eighteen minutes later bagged the winner in the 68th to give Clarendon Galaxy a 3-2 win over the Trelawny Barons.

Tyreek MaGee freekick gave the Ksafa All-stars a 1-0 win over the Portland Blazers, St Thomas Cobras blanked St Mary Raiders 3-0, St Ann Giants edged St Catherine Saints 2-1, Westmoreland Warriors defeated St Elizabeth Tigers 3-2 and St James United were held to a 2-2 draw with the Manchester Lions.
