Defending champions Harbour View were in a no-nonsense mood as they battered promoted Faulkland FC 6-1 in their rescheduled Jamaica Premier League game at the Anthony Spalding Complex on Sunday.

Timar Lewis scored a first half hat trick to lead Harbour View to the biggest win of the season so far as they remained in pole position in the points tables.

Harbour View are on 13 points, followed by Mt Pleasant FA who edged Cavalier FC 1-0 at Drax Hall, with Montego Bay United in third place on 10 points despite losing for the first time this season after being edged 1-0 by Humble Lion at Wespow Park.

Lewis scored in the 31st, 35th and a minute into time added on at the end of the first half while Faulkland FC had also conceded an own goal in the 40th minute as Harbour View led 4-0 at the break.

Tereto Gregory pulled one back for Faulkland FC in the 51st minute but Colorado Murray scored a fifth for Harbour View in the 81st and Shawn Daley made it 6-1 in the 87th minute.

Jamoi Topey’s powerful header deep into time added gave Mt Pleasant FA full points as Cavalier FC lost their second game of the season and saw their three games winning run come to an end.

MBU who were last placed last season, lost for the first time this season after Humble Lion got a rare win at WesPow Park.

Roshane Sharpe scored the winner in the 24th minute for Humble Lion who played the last 48 minutes plus 10 minutes of added time after goal Afiba Chambers was sent off after getting his second yellow card in the first half.

MBU’s Keimo Dyer was also red carded minutes after the game was blown off.

Dunbeholden snapped a two games losing skid to beat Tivoli Gardens 2-0 with goals from Nickoy Christian in the 39th minute and Stephen Barnett in the 47th minute.

Waterhouse won their first game of the season, edging Vere United 1-0 at the Wembley Centre of Excellence thanks to an own goal in the 26th minute.
