Defending champions Clarendon College led the semi-final qualifiers in the ISSA Champions Cup after wins in Saturday’s quarterfinals, beating Mona High 3-1 in the first game of a double-header at Sabina Park in Kingston.

Kingston College, Jamaica College and St Andrew Technical High (STATHS) also advanced to the quarterfinals.

Clarendon College handed Mona High back to back losses as goals from Marques Reid in the 19th minute, Kristoff Graham in the 31st, gave the holders an advantage.

Denzil McKenzie pulled one back for the Manning Cup team in the 56th minute but Malachi Douglas got Clarendon College’s third goal.

St Andrew Technical who will play Clarendon College in the semi-final, beat Manchester High 1-0 thanks to a brilliant freekick from Shackwon Satchwell in their game played at the St Elizabeth Technical Sports Complex.

In the first game at STETHS, Jamaica College handed The Manning’s School a 4-0 beating, their second loss in a row after they had lost to Manchester High in the DaCosta Cup earlier in the week.

Kingston College completed the foursome in the late game, getting past Central High 2-0 at Sabina Park, Ashanie Kennedy gave the Manning Cup team the lead in the first half before Dujuan Richards came off the bench in the second half to secure the win.
