Happy Grove High made it a fourth straight time in the second round of the ISSA/Wata DaCosta Cup football competition after they came from behind to beat Port Antonio High 3-2 in their return round Zone N game on Tuesday.

Happy Grove High extended their perfect start to four games and improved to 12 points as they swept both against Port Antonio High after beating them 5-0 in the first round last month.

They are the second school to secure their second-round berth after Morant Bay High made their place certain from Zone K last week.

Port Antonio High led 2-0 at halftime with goals from Kerone George in the 34th minute and 45th minute before Happy Grove responded with second-half goals from Sean Williams in the 58th minute, Shevon Miller in the 67th minute, and Bonny Chisholm in the 72nd minute.

Frome Technical scored six goals in back-to-back wins over Green Island High in four days, winning 6-1 in the second game on Tuesday after beating them 6-0 on Saturday.

Frome are on 15 points, the same as Rusea’s High, who have played a game less.

Stevaughn Spence scored a double for Frome Tech while Jovauni Williams, Dwayne Watt, Kevin Lawrence, and Demar Williams scored one each.

Cornwall College and Irwin High shared points for the second game this season after playing out a tough 1-1 draw in their Zone A game at Irwin High.

Leo Campbell scored in his third straight game to give Irwin High the lead in the 40th minute, but Braxton Richards responded for Cornwall College early in the second half.

Cornwall College leads the Zone with 17 points, two more than Irwin High, while St James High is in third after coming from a goal down to beat Spot Valley High 2-1 at Jarrett Park, avenging their first round loss.

Green Pond scored their first win, blanking Maldon High 3-0 as the south St James school crashed to a third straight loss.
