The play-off qualifiers in three of the five ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup zones were completed on Monday with two others expected to follow suit soon.
In all seven teams booked their spots on Monday, Bellefield High in Zone G, Kemps Hill High, Garvey Maceo High and Old Harbour in Zone I, Paul Bogle High and Yallahs High from Zone L and St Mary High in Zone M all secured their places in the four team play-offs.
So far only Clarendon College are the only qualifiers from Zone H while Happy Grove, Paul Bogle, Yallahs are through from Zone L so far.
On Monday Bellefield High hammered Alston High 9-0 to complete the qualifiers from Zone G, joining Christiana High who ended fellow qualifiers Holmwood Technical’s six games winning start with a 3-1 win and Alphansus Davis High.
Kemps Hill High beat Winston Jones 5-0 and Garvey Maceo High were 4-0 winners over Foga Road High to join Glenmuir High from Zone I while Old Harbour booked their spot with a 6-0 win over Porus High.
Paul Bogle High and Yallahs both ended on 12 points after 5-0 wins over Seaforth High and 4-0 win over St Thomas Technical respectively and joined Zone L winners Happy Grove High as the qualifiers.
Morant Bay High whose game against Robert Lightbourne High was postponed due to a water-logged field, will only need a point from that game to edge Seaforth High for the fourth spot.
St Mary High booked the fourth spot from Zone M after beating Wycliffe Martin High 3-1 and joined Port Antonio High, Titchfield High and St Mary Technical.
On Monday Port Antonio High clipped Titchfield High 1-0 to win their sixth straight game and win the top spot in the play-offs.
Denbigh High ended Central High’s perfect start at tree wins after clipping them 2-1 to stay alive in the face for the play-off spots in Zone H
Both are on nine points, but Central High have two games to play and Denbigh High has one as they seek to join defending champions Clarendon College while Lennon High who finished their schedule on 10 points can only watch and hope.
