The ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup quarterfinals kicked off in a goal fest as STATHS hammered St Catherine High 4-1 with Omar Laing bagging a hat trick at the Stadium East football field.

Defending champion Jamaica College cruised past Mona High in the second game on the day with goals from captain Duncan McKenzie and Shemron Phillips.

Excelsior High defeated Kingston Technical 3-1 as they stake their claim as one of the favorites to leave their quarterfinal group. Kingston College brushed aside Charlie Smith High 3-0 as they continue their immaculate form this season. Man of the match Chris Pearson scored a beauty to open the scoring for KC and ensured the purples took control of the game.

The quarterfinal stage continues on Tuesday, December 14th with a top-of-the-table clash between STATHS and Jamaica College in group 1 and the other game of the group sees St Catherine High take on Mona High.

Group 2 action will see the title favorite Kingston College battle Kingston Technical at 1 PM and Excelsior go up against Charlie Smith High at 3:15 PM.
