Former champions Clarendon College and Frome Technical led four more teams into the second round of the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition on Tuesday.

Clarendon College confirmed their place in the 32 schools second round without kicking a ball and topped Zone H and were joined by Frome Technical, Petersfield High and Little London High.

Nineteen schools have booked spots in the next round that will be played next week, October 17th and 20th.

Clarendon College took all three points after Kellits High failed to show up for the continuation of their Zone H game that was called off on October 2nd due to a flooded field.

Clarendon led 5-1 at the time of the stoppage and improved to 21 points from seven straight wins.

Frome Technical edged ten man Green Island High 1-0 in their rescheduled game played at Green Island and joined Zone B winners Rusea's High in the second round.

Alwyn Hayles' second-half goal made the difference for Frome Technical who improved to 20 points while knocking Green Island out of contention for one of the two automatic spots from the zone.

Petersfield High beat Knockalva Technical 5-1 in their Zone D game played at Petersfield and improved to an unbeatable 17 points at the top of the zone.

Little London High who had completed their fixtures on 14 points also advanced as the second place finishers.
