Clarendon College roughs up Claude McKay
Kemar Dunn scored a late trick late in the game and two other players got braces as defending champions Clarendon College slammed Claude McKay High 16-1 in their rescheduled ISSA daCosta Cup Zone E game at Turner's Oval in Clarendon on Tuesday.
It was the biggest win for Clarendon College this season and second biggest in the competition behind BB Coke's 20-0 demolition of Mt St Joseph in Zone C last month.
Prior to Tuesday, Clarendon had scored six goals in the previous four outings but made full use of the 'shooting practice' as they improved to 10 points, joint with Edwin Allen, one behind leaders Lennon High and will all join Glenmuir High in the play-offs.
Dunn bagged his hat trick with strikes in the 73rd, 75th, and 77th minutes while Jamiem Rose and Kristopher Graham got two goals each and Okeemo Jones, Kahein Dixon, Ricardo Beckford, Rushi Parchment, Marques Reid, Christopher Hull, Julius Carter, and Radcliffe Seivewright also scored.
A total of 12 players scored in the game that was tied at 1-1 after 15 minutes when Karim Lewis had drawn Claude McKay level after Malachi Douglas had given Clarendon College the lead in the 12th minute.
