The 16 teams from the four zones that will implement a play-off to decide which teams will advance past the first round of the ISSA daCosta Cup football competition were decided on Saturday. Four zones- C, E, F and G all of which have six or fewer teams, will see the top four schools, at the end of the first round, play two more games to decide which two will go through to the quarter-finals.

Garvey Maceo is however already assured of their place in the next round after winning their first five games and cannot finish lower than second in Zone F. Former champions, Munro College who are enjoying their best season in years, handed BB Coke High back to back losses, winning in their Zone C game played at the STETHS Sports Complex on Saturday.

St Elizabeth Technical High (STETHS) who beat the winless newcomers Mt St Joseph 4-0 at Kirkvine are in second place on 10 points and they will be joined in the play-offs by BB Coke and Lacovia High who drew 2-2 with Maggotty High.

Three schools had finished tied with seven points and had to be separated by goal-difference and BB Coke and Lacovia High got the nod ahead of Maggotty High.

Lennon High leads Zone E with 11 points after they drew 0-0 with Edwin Allen High, who ended the regular season with 10 points, same as defending champions Clarendon College who lost 1-0 to Glenmuir High as all four schools made it safely through to the play-offs.

Tajaray Mahabeer scored the winner for Glenmuir High who snapped a two games losing skid and ended with nine points.

Happy Grove Hammered Port Antonio High 6-2 at Lynch Park as Tevonne Miller scored a hat trick Roy Thomas got a brace as they joined leader St Thomas Technical in the play-off.

Paul Bogle High who drew 1-1 with Seaforth High and Port Antonio will also take part in the play-offs to decide which two will go forward. The qualifiers from Zone F were decided on Friday with three teams- Vere Tech, Old Harbour and Foga Road play for one spot as Garvey Maceo are certain to advance.
