Clarendon College ended their season on a high after beating Dinthill Technical 1-0 in the final of the ISSA Champions Cup competition played at the stadium east field on Saturday.

In the first final between teams outside of Kingston, Clarendon College rebounded from Wednesday’s crushing loss in the semi-finals of the daCosta while Dinthill Technical lost back-to-back games to end their season which had shown so much promise not so long ago.

Dinthill Technical ended the game with 10 players after Shamar Martin was shown a second yellow card late in the game and was sent off.

Kaheem Dixon who had scored Clarendon’s first goal in their semi-final win over Kingston College scored the winner in the 53 rd minute on Saturday.

Clarendon College who had lost the 2019 final to Kingston College, are the second school from outside of Kingston to lift the Champions Cup after Cornwall College was the first in the 2018 season when they beat Jamaica College.

Christopher Hull’s cross from just outside the Dinthill Technical area was met by Jaheim Rose but his shot was blocked but the ball fell in the path of Dixon who poked it across the goal-line.
